Friends & Fiestas
People Who Love Gardens Make Great Friends.
The Garden Club is one of the largest and most active member-based organizations in Vallarta. We sponsor many social gatherings, speakers, dinners, and learning excursions.
Our year begins with a Welcome Back/Membership party in December, moves to our annual dress-up fundraising Gala in January, and continues with a Member and Volunteer Appreciation party in February.
What We Do
Civic Beautification & Community Service
From the historic streets of Puerto Vallarta to community spaces like Isla Cuale, our work brings together gardening, beautification, and community service.
In the Historic Area
Since 2011, the Club has helped keep Vallarta's historic streets blooming, beginning with bougainvillea on Calle Basilio Badillo. Today, we care for over 500 planters and green spots.
Isla Cuale Restoration
Our ongoing landscaping and infrastructure revitalization project on Isla Cuale helps restore and care for this important green space following Hurricane Nora's floods.
Community Outreach
Our projects reach beyond tourist streets, including gardens for Vallarta Cares, improvements in Centro, and landscaping and play-area projects at Los Mangos Biblioteca.
Support Our Work
Help Vallarta Keep Blooming.
Your generosity helps care for public gardens, maintain green spaces, and support community projects throughout Puerto Vallarta.
Every contribution helps us continue making our city a more beautiful place for everyone.

Volunteering
Play in the Dirt (not required)
During “Season” (December to May) we have volunteer work parties that plant, trim, and clean for an hour or so several mornings each month. And we have an afternoon “social weeding” time on the Isla Cuale every month that includes sangria and soft drinks.
If you'd like to volunteer, complete our volunteer signup and we'll add your name to our volunteer mailing list. Our work and social times are also in the Event Calendar.
